Bad Movies Beware!

Identity-John Cusack has found his second calling!

This movie was far from the disappointment I thought I might be given the synopsis. The most I can say without spoiling it completely is that ten strangers find themselves trapped in a motel in the middle of nowhere and are terrorized by a Serial Killer who leaves a room key with each victim. The cast is all star with Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet, Clea DuVall, John C. McGinley, Jake Busey, Alfred Molina and Rebecca DeMornay. The story has plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested, and the twist you think is the biggest twist is far from it. Just when you think the movie is over, it takes a turn that ends up making everything come together in mere seconds before the credits roll. Generally movies with A-Listers comprising the majority of the cast either amount to not much more than popcorn movies or are awesome and unsung hits. I’m usually fairly savvy with mysteries, and I didn’t see this one coming. By no means is it deserving of an academy award, but it is worth seeing. Also definitely one you’ll want to watch again to try and find the clues you missed. There are moments when it seems to be wandering and confusing, but rarely is there a movie that intentionally does this to throw you. Every element is important. Make an effort to see this one!
